The winery, core and reference of Familia Fernández Rivera, puts on the market a white wine characterized by the origin of its grapes, which grow in small plots of calcareous soils on the banks of the Duero, at an altitude of over 900 meters above sea level. The history of Bodegas Tinto Pesquera is written on the land where the vines grow, a history that has seen the growth of the variety that has given rise to its wines and that is now built on the novelty of its first white wine, a unique opportunity for the wine company, as well as for all those who have trusted in its good work from the beginning.

Tinto Pesquera Albillo Mayor 2021 is made from white grape vines that are blended with Tempranillo vines, giving rise to a variety called Albillo Mayor. These white vines are scarce and make picking them by hand a challenge for the winemaker, who must search among multiple plots of Tempranillo due to their dispersion. The Albillo Mayor variety has been planted since time immemorial on the banks of the Duero as a blending variety, with which claret was obtained and which also served as a dessert for the grape harvesters at harvest time.
Tinto Pesquera Albillo Mayor 2021 is aged on its own lees and batonnage for 7 months, after a cluster by cluster selection that allows the grapes to arrive at the winery in optimal conditions for fermentation in French oak barrels. The French oak provides persistence in the mouth and a slight creaminess, which essentially respects the acidity of the wine and makes Albillo Mayor 2021 a wine with a strong personality, identity and cellaring capacity.
The Albillo Mayor variety makes Tinto Pesquera Albillo Mayor 2021 a wine that presents nuances typical of this variety: white flowers and a slight presence of stone fruit with subtle citrus nuances.
